About Us

We're building relational infrastructure for human flourishing.

Why now: three tailwinds converging

  • The Silver Wave. 11,400 Americans turn 65 every day. By 2030, 73 million will be 65 or older — the most active and educated older generation in history, with twenty healthy years ahead and a real desire to contribute.
  • Massive AI job displacement. Early-career employment in the most AI-exposed occupations has fallen 16%, with no matching drop for senior roles. The first rung of the white-collar ladder is disappearing.
  • We are more socially isolated than ever. Face-to-face time is down 30% since 2003, and nearly half for young people. Public meeting attendance is down 40%. The U.S. Surgeon General has warned of a “loneliness epidemic.”

The skills AI can't replicate, like active listening, trust, and emotional presence, are more valuable than ever. But young people and career changers have fewer and fewer places to practice them. The country needs 1.3 million new direct care workers by 2030, and every one of those jobs runs on exactly these skills. Weavers is where people build them — one match, and one relationship, at a time.

What we believe

We've designed the model around four key elements:

  • Asset-focused: both Silvers and Weavers have a lot to contribute to each other and the community.
  • Bi-directional: both sides in every match contribute and grow in the relationship. Neither is a recipient of charity.
  • In-person: there is no substitute for presence.
  • Local: proximity strengthens neighborhoods.
